ADVERTISING COVER, GREAT BRITAIN.  Very few GB firms used this form of advertising in the 19th century. The flap shows the Fleet Street return address of the Law Life Assurance Society which has mailed out this renewal notice. Franked with Scott#33, Penny Red, plate #124, For the specialist, a fine example for the album page or exhibit frame.

G.B. #166 COVER.  A fine specimen of the British Empire Exhibition of 1924 sent to the prominent philatelist & author F. Hugh Vallancey, Esq. A very small repair at top opening, otherwise a most desirable item of postal history.

G.B. #204 COVER.  A super example of the British Empire Exhibition of 1925 from the F. Hugh Vallancey archive. The stamp was carefully selected for nice margins & the machine cancel lightly ties this vf stamp producing a great cover for the discriminating collector.

G.B. TRANSATLANTIC COVER.  A fine small sized cover franked with a pair of penny reds and a halfpenny carried this pretty cover from London to Brooklyn, NY Au 12 78. Appropriate Brooklyn received marks on reverse. An 11-day trip.

GUN ADVERTISING COVER.  A scarce Mexican illustrated Remington hunter, rifle & dog drawing sent air mail to Smith & Wesson in Springfield, MA  would be a fine addition to the gun cover collector's  exhibit page. A tiny closed top tear & light fold away from stamp & picture prevent this from being a superb cover.

GREAT BRITAIN.  Cover commemorating the First Day of STAMPEX Europa, March 17-25, 1961. A magnificent cover made up at the Finnish Exhibit for this great event. The strong, clear handstamps & the De La Rue sheetlet makes this a most desirable item for the specialist of GB, Finland & Europa material.

FRANCE.  Neat set B66-7 used on 2 souvenir cards cancelled at the Louvre Museum but never mailed.  Fine condition since they were saved as mementos of the visit.

IRELAND.  Transatlantic flight cover, 1939, Dublin to New York.  A great flight event bearing absolutely beautiful stamps, especially the scarce & valuable 1 shilling.  A fine opportunity to obtain this combination of stamps on an historical airmail event.

CHINA.. This fine pre WWII cover found its way to Amherst, Mass in 1939. A neat Yenching University, Peiping West China printed corner card with Chinese/English lettering makes an ideal exhibit item. Backstamped in red. Chengfu circle date postmark ties a nice stamp The postal historian will appreciate this cover.
